"Jeff Palmer's unerring good taste in models is only part of his talent.
This photographer of black-and-white art is highly adept at creating
fantasy images that stay with you for days -- even longer. And in this
beautiful, compact book, "Temptation: Sensual Nudes," Palmer has gone even
further than ever before, showing men in a state of complete, full-on
erection and in one case, post-orgasm.

Not all of the photographs are explicit, or even come close to being so.
Palmer also manages to capture his models when they are being playful, or
just flirty, and even, believe it or not, shy (or as shy as anyone can be
when they are fully naked).

Palmer creates sensuality that is not always immediately evident. In one
photo, a model's face is barely visible as he peers out a sunlit window --
a seemingly perfectly innocent pose, until your eye travels downward to
see, almost as an afterthought, an impressively erect penis jutting from
his crotch. In another, a couple of macho guys embrace, an almost chaste
position, until, again, almost at the edge of the photo, you see that one
is gently cupping the other's half-hard genitals in his hand.

The book is aptly named -- every piece included suggests some sort of
sexual temptation. From the coy way one model lifts his undershirt to show
off his six-pack abs to the more hardcore image of a sinewy stud who is
lashed to bedposts, blindfolded, his shirt and underwear ripped (and with a
raging erection), the images included suggest all kinds of temptations, not
all of them vanilla.

It's an interesting new direction for Palmer, and it will be fascinating to
see where he goes from here.
